Lead Back-end Developer

What are your duties?

  • Design, build, and maintain innovative, efficient, reusable, and reliable technology supporting the process of mobile advertising optimization,
  • Make strategic technical decisions related to new products and functionalities,
  • Gather information on new and relevant technologies, documentation practices, scalability, testing techniques, and refactoring, hence, constantly improving the performance and efficiency of the department,
  • Participate in the estimation and planning of iterative/agile releases,
  • Identify bugs and flaws in existing implementation and take initiative to fix them,
  • Perform code review against commits done by your collegues,
  • Write clear and understandable technical documentation (in both code itself or separate documents).

What should you offer?

  • Proficient with Java with a deep passion to write code,
  • Understanding of MySQL including database design, encoding, performance,
  • Hands-on experience as a backend software engineer using Javascript and NodeJS,
  • Have experience developing, scaling and monitoring RESTful APIs,
  • Experience working inside the Linux command line environment,
  • Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub,
  • Full stack experience (front- and back-end) would be a huge plus!
  • Proficiency with several AWS services would be a plus,
  • Familiarity with Akka, Scala, Spring or other DI framework would be a plus,
  • Experience working on Agile methodologies and teams (SCRUM preferred),
  • Ability to work on projects independently and learn new technologies on the fly,
  • A positive mindset, team-oriented, results driven and organized.
